This is one of few sandstones also suitable for driveways.

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-sized minerals or rock grains. Most sandstone is composed of quartz and/or feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the Earth’s crust. Like sand, sandstone may be any color, but the most common colors are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray and white. Some sandstones are resistant to weathering, yet are easy to work. This makes sandstone a common building and paving material.

Flint (or flintstone) is a hard, sedimentary form of the mineral quartz. It occurs in sedimentary rocks, such as chalks and limestones. Inside the flint is usually dark grey, black, green, white, or brown in color, and often has a glassy or waxy appearance. A thin layer on the outside of the flint is usually different in color, typically white or cream, and rough in texture.
